Amaya is a complete web browsing and authoring environment and comes equipped with a WYSIWYG style of interface, similar to that of the most popular commercial browsers. With such an interface, users do not need to know the HTML or CSS languages.

WordWeb Pro is a quick and powerful international English thesaurus and dictionary for Windows. It can be used to lookup words from almost any Windows program, showing definitions, synonyms and related words. There are also many proper nouns and usage examples. Unlike any paper dictionary or thesaurus WordWeb is truly a Word Web - each set of synonyms is linked to other related sets. Lookup "tree", click on the "Types" tab and you'll have a list of different types of tree. Click on "Part of" and WordWeb will tell you that a tree can be part of a "forest" or "wood".

Unlike any online dictionary, WordWeb allows you to dynamically filter words to find what you want. For example clicking on a sense number shows only synonyms and related words for that word sense. Click on the Snippy icon – mouse cursor changes to a pen – mark an area of the screen – the marked area is now in your clipboard.

If you want to select a rectangular area, just hold down the Shift key while dragging. You can configure some things like the color of the border and so on by right-clicking on the Snippy icon in the taskbar. One of the things you can do here is to set a keyboard hotkey for activating the capture mode.

There is no install program. Snippy is a very small program; just 84 KB. Simply save the Snippy executable in some convenient location on your hard-drive. We also recommend that you add a shortcut to your Startup folder so that Snippy starts up automatically when you turn on your computer.

Pure Text software

Have you ever copied some text from a web page, a word document, help, etc., and wanted to paste it as simple text into another application without getting all the formatting from the original source? PureText makes this simple. Just copy/cut whatever you want to the clipboard, click on the PureText tray icon, and then paste to any application. Better yet, you can configure a hot-key to convert and paste the text for you. The pasted text will be pure and free from all formatting.

You can also configure a system-wide Hot-Key to be used to activate PureText and convert the clipboard contents to pure text. To configure, right-click on the tray icon and choose "Options" from the pop-up menu. The default Hot-Key is WINDOWS+V. PureText can also optionally paste the converted text into the window that currently has the focus, which allows you to convert and paste in one keystroke.

What PureText Will and Will Not Do

PureText only removes rich formatting from text. This includes the font face, font style (bold, italics, etc.), font color, paragraph styles (left/right/center aligned), margins, character spacing, bullets, subscript, superscript, tables, charts, pictures, embedded objects, etc. However, it does not modify the actual text. It will not remove or fix new-lines, carriage returns, tabs, or other white-space. It will not fix word-wrap or clean up your paragraphs. If you copy the source code of a web page to the clipboard, it is not going to remove all the HTML tags. If you copy text from an actual web page (not the source of the page), it will remove the formatting.

PureText is basically equivalent to opening Notepad, doing a PASTE, followed by a SELECT-ALL, and then a COPY. The benefit of PureText is performing all these actions with a single Hot-Key and having the result pasted into the current window automatically.

Figure Builder

Open the figure builder by clicking 'Create Figure Type' in the file menu of the main form or clicking the edit button to edit the current stick figure type. The edit mode option in the options menu allows you to change segment lengths when selected and normal pivot mode when not selected.

tool buttons (from top to bottom)

add line - add a line segment to the figure. Click the button, then click a handle on the figure that the segment will pivot on, then click somewhere on the image to set the end of the line.

add circle - add a circle segment to the figure. Add in the same way as above.

toggle segment kind - toggle the selected segment (blue) between line and circle.

change segment thickness - change the line thickness of the selected segment. Zero thickness segments will appear as invisible when not selected - these can be used to create figures with disconnected regions.

duplicate segment - duplicate a segment so that it has identical length/thickness. Select the segment you want to duplicate, then click the button, then click a handle on the figure to attach it.

static / dynamic segment - toggle the selected segment between static and dynamic. A dynamic segment will have a handle and will therefore be able to move in an animation, a static segment will not. Default is dynamic. A segment is shown as grey in the builder if it is static and black if it is dynamic (when it's not selected). Static segments can be rotated in the builder.

delete segment - delete the selected segment. Segments can only be deleted if they have no other segments attached to their endpoint.

Just play with the stick figures and it just takes little time to make an animation...quite good.

Combine Video Files

In the main window, select Video in the Media Type area.

In the Output Format list, select the media type for the file that you want to save. This is the final file that contains the combined video files.

Click the Add button in the main window.

Select the files that you want. You can select more than one by pressing CTRL or SHIFT on the keyboard.

Click the Join button.

On the Output Path and Filename dialog box, type the name for the file and click the Save button.

Thats how i was combining files in the above image. U can change the order, drag-drop, change the preferences, and all in no cost. I find this a simple software to explore.

Notepad++ software

Notepad++ is a free source code editor which supports several programming languages running under the MS Windows environment.

This project, based on Scintilla edit component (a very powerful editor component) are written in C++ with pure win32 api and STL (that ensures the higher execution speed and smaller size of the program), is under the GPL Licence.

This project is mature. However, as you can see it’s an one-man-project, there’re still some bugs and missing features. If you have any question or suggestion about this project, please drop me a mail, I’ll love to hear from you. As well, if you have any feature request, you can always do the demand, but there’s no warranty that I’ll implement it.

I thought why not, someone might use it... :)

* Set volume: Set the wave volume with a value between 0 (silent) to
100 (full volume) WARNING: be carefull when setting full volume so you
don't damage your speakers/ears

This is optional and it lets you write a short description of the task,
this will be displayed when you select the task in the list box.

Determine how your program/file/folder or other will be shown.
SHOW or SHOW NORMAL is the most comon and if you are unsure of
this option just leave it as it is.

How to launch/execute/run a task
==================================
There are many ways to do this

1. Click on one of the tasks and click the Execute button
2. Double-click a task
3. From the Tasks menu, click one of the tasks
4. Have them as alarm signal from an alarm
5. Start a task from another task with multi launch
6. You can also start tasks by sending a WM_COMMAND to SwizzTool, see technical.txt
for more information about this.

Memo
======
Write down your notes here and they are saved when you close
the window or exit the program.

Create alarms
----------------
To create an alarm from the Memo you simply begin a new line with a : and
directly follow that with the time. After the time you can also add AM or PM
(not case sensitive) followed by the message to display (optional). And
finally hit Enter to create the alarm, now the line will disappear
Example:
:11:45 pm Hey, good things on TV!
:10:00 Hey, good things on TV!
Default is PM, so both of the above alarms would be PM.
:10:00 am
:10:00:10
These will also work as alarm message is optional, note in the second
example I also specify seconds, these wont matter as the alarm will go off
anytime between 10:00:00 and 10:01:00.

Search
--------
To search in the Memo you write the text to search for in the edit box below and
click either the left or right arrow button to search forward or backwards in
the document. If the edit box is empty the left arrow button will take you
to the beginning and the right arrow button to the end of the document.
Double clicking in the edit box will paste if it's empty or delete existing text
if it's not, try it youself and I'm sure you will figure it out.

Copy, Paste and Delete text
----------------------------------
If no text is selected and you click the Copy button below, the program will
copy the current line to the clipboard, while Delete will delete the current line.

Web Commands
-------------------
F1 will open the current line in your browser (you can change
what browser to use in settings, "Web Browser")

Use F2, F3 and F4 to activate the "Web Commands"
The default settings for these are
F2 - Search Google with current line
F3 - Search IMDb with current line
F4 - Search A9 with current line

These can be changed under Settings -> Misc.
The current line in this memo will replace <C>
or with the text in clipboard if you activate them
from the main menu.

Hotkeys
---------
To set a hotkey for the Memo, you need to open the settings found
in the main menu. Click the Memo tab and choose. Don't forget to
click the Set button to activate it, to remove a hotkey select None
in either of the list boxes and click the Set button.

Execute Tasks, Alarms and system files
----------------------------------------------
Begin a new line with "." and follow that by the name of a Task, Alarm or
any other file. Examples:
.calc
.notepad
.readme.txt
Note that the Memo is always on top of other windows and the program you
start might hide behind this window.

Settings
==========

Most of the settings are easy to use and need no further explanation.
There are two though that I will say a few words about.

Separator
---------
When you use "Add To Memo", the text in this field will be added before the data
that is currently in the clipboard. So if separator is set to "\n\d" an extra
new line and today's date is added before the clipboard data. "\t" can also be
used to add the current time.

Web commands
----------------
If you look in "Settings - Extra 1" you will see three Web commands.
The first one is:

You execute these with the keys F2, F3 and F4. Now F2 will execute the first one (Google)
and replace "<c>" with the current line from the Memo and open that web page.

How can you make this possible? Choose from among a wide selection of information conduits (e.g. MS Outlook, toolbars, newsfeeds), called "panels". Fully customizable, Desktop Sidebar allows you to dock these panels to the edge of the screen, or arrange them anywhere on your desktop as you wish. All panels are configurable with a number of specific options. With hundreds of skins available in our Extension Exchange Page and an easy to use Skin Editor, you can freely change the appearance of Desktop Sidebar to suit your tastes.

Desktop Sidebar uses minimal system resources, and is compatible with the following versions of Windows: Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, 98 & ME. You must have Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher installed.

You will noticed preconfigured panels already setup with your Desktop Sidebar docked to the right side of your screen. These options can be adjusted based on preference and order. General Tab

Appearance

You can set the amount of transparency for entire sidebar.
You can show the Sidebar Caption at the top of your Desktop Sidebar.
You can show each panel's icon next to the title of each panel.

Positions

You can choose which display device to have Desktop Sidebar displayed on, especially handy for those who have multiple monitors.
You can choose whether to dock your Desktop Sidebar on the right or left side of the screen or even to have it free float.
You can choose the layout order when other windows are open. Some prefer to have Desktop Sidebar always on top, while others have it permanently residing on their Windows desktop.

Auto-Hide

There is a checkbox that will enable/disable the feature of auto-hiding the entire sidebar, similar to how Windows can auto-hide the Start Taskbar.
You have the ability to customize the length of time Desktop Sidebar will remain in view if auto-hide is enabled.
You have the ability to choose the animation type and speed of how Desktop appears and/or hides.
You can control the pixel width of Desktop Sidebar. This will allow you to see a small trace of panels, enough to where you can hold your mouse pointer on it so it will unhide.

Internet tab

You can enable/disable Desktop Sidebar to automatically download and install updates.

Instructions

DoubleClick on the duck icon to bring up the notetab.

From here you can save the current note as a text file or save all of the notes as an RSS 2 formated xml file.

You can save the main notes file to an ftp server by clicking on Save to FTP
You can then download it to another pc by using Get from FTP

If you select a calculation eg. 1+2 and then right click it you will have a calculate option. This will calculate the equation for you.

If you select a word and right click it you will see an option to spell.
This is a simple spell check that works with a text file called dict.dic
This is a UK word list and can be replaced with any word list as long as it is called dict.dic
When it has found the correct word double click it to change the spelling

if you select a url or command line style command and rightclick it and select run it will try to run the line you have selected, for example if it is a valid url it will open it in your web browser

The first line of the note becomes the title.

You can drag and drop a group of text files onto the note window and it will open them all into seperate tabs

Key Board Short Cuts

ctrl+s saves the note
ctrl+shift+s opens the save note as text file dialog
ctrl+shift+alt+s opens the save all notes as rss file dialog
ctrl+m sends notetab back to the tray
ctrl+shift+p prints all notes
ctrl+q quits the application

- Right click items on the dock to customize them

- Files and folders can be dragged onto the dock to create
new items. This includes special folders like "My Computer".

- You can drag items off the dock to delete them or right-click
on them to delete via menu.

- Click the "Configure ObjectDock" item or right-click a blank
area of the dock to access Dock Properties.

- ObjectDock can read PNG image files, as well as 32-bit icon
files in both Windows XP and Windows 2000. Images to be used
in items can be put anywhere off the ObjectDock folder. ObjectDock
will search its folders and all of its subfolders of it for images.
It is recommended that you use subfolders to categorize your images,
like the included Crystallized and LaST subdirs under the
Images directory.

- The Windows taskbar can be turned on or off via the dock settings dialog.

- Images can be assigned to windows based on the .EXE that they are running
or the "class name" for the window. The more specific class name takes

Tray it! software

TrayIt! allows to save precious Taskbar space for minimized windows.

For each application which applies TrayIt! it creates a small icon in the System Tray. (System Tray area is located near the Clock). When application's window is minimized this icon represents the application on the Taskbar instead of the regular "minimized rectangle".

quite handy if u use loads of softwares. u can minimize even open folders to tray. so just click minimize button and trayit handles them.

It is particularly useful for background tasks you typically keep

TrayIt! runs on Windows 95/98/Me, NT/2000/XP and does not require any installation.
Simply create a new folder and place TrayIt!.exe and TrayIt!.dll there. When started, TrayIt! will show a dialog box with a short explanation how to use it. You may choose to load TrayIt! on system startup by selecting "Option" and checking "Load TrayIt! on StartUp" box.

1. You can temporarily put any window in the system tray by keeping down the button when minimizing the window.

2. To always keep window in the system tray when minimized, click with the RIGHT mouse button on the corresponding icon created in the tray in the previous step and check "Place in System Tray" in the popup menu.

3. Clicking with the right mouse button on the minimize icon will bring TrayIt! context menu for this window. Just check "Place in System Tray" in the popup menu to make window always go to the tray.

Please note that context menu will work only for the standard minimize icon and will not pop-up if the program use skins like MS Media player.

TrayIt! stores setting in the Windows Registry so that you need to configure
your applications only once. And, of course, you can put your favorite programs
in the "Startup" folder and start "minimized"!

If you decide to stop using TrayIt! entirely visit the popup menu mentioned above
from any application. Select "TrayIt Application/Options", press Clean All Settinsg" button and reboot your computer.

TrayIt! supports the following options for each minimized window:

- Minimize on start - TrayIt! will minimize the selected window on start. The effect of this option is very similar to selecting "Run:Minimized" for the application shortcut. Please use it when the latest doesn't work correctly.
- Restore window from the System Tray when application is activated - TrayIt! will restore application window whenever it becomes activated. Usually you will turn on this option if application remains minimized when you click on the associated document.
- Hide application Icon - TryIt! will remove application from the taskbar, but will hide the corresponding tray icon. Please use this option extremely carefully - application will just "disappear" from the screen.
- Match pattern with the window title when creating a System Tray icon - when this option is activated you can specify a pattern that TrayIt will mach with an application window.
TrayIt! looks for a substring in a window title that matches a pattern. TrayIt! applies patterns from left to right and stops when first match is found. Patterns are not case sensitive. Use '|' to separate patterns, '*' and '?' wildcards are allowed in the pattern specification. '^' as a first symbol inverts meaning of the pattern.
Example: My Computer|Control Panel added to the explorer specification will create a System Tray icon only this two folders.

You can customize TrayIt! behavior by selecting the following options from the "TrayIt! Application/Option" menu:

Options tab:

- Load TrayIt! on StartUp - creates a shortcut to the TrayIt! application in the user's Startup folder
- Activate application by a Single-click on the System Tray icon - when turned off you need to double-ckick on icon in the System Tray to activate an application.
- Clicking on the System Tray icon minimizes when in Foreground - which this option turned on, Clicking on the System Tray icon will minimize associated window when it is in the Foreground.
- Allow minimizing of the Console windows under Windows NT - please turn this option on to allow processing of console windows under Windows NT. Please note that TrayIt! does not distinguish between console windows belonging to different applications. Please use "Match Pattern" option for the console window to make minimizing more selective. Please note that TrayIt! will not minimize windows belonging to the NT system services - "Place in system tray" menu remains grayed in this case.
- Show usage information when selecting the "Windows" tab - TrayIt! will show help information every time when you select the "Windows" tab
- Set compatibility mode for the older versions of Windows 95 - Please turn this mode ONLY if you are running an older version of Win95 and experiencing difficulties using ALT-TAB combination to switch windows application. When turned on, TrayIt! will ignore all 16-bit application and DOS boxes. Please restart TrayIt! to activate this option.

Windows tab:

In some cases TrayIt! will not hide task bar button because an application creates a small invisible window to represent itself in the task bar (all Delphi applications and some others) - in this case the text in the task bar usually differs from the title of the main window. Please use text in the TASKBAR, not the window title when looking for a particular window.

Window "skins" often replace the standard minimize buttons with a "fancy" one so that popup-menu doesn't come up if you click on it with the right mouse button.
To put such windows in the system tray, pop-up the context menu for the desired window by clicking with the RIGHT MOUSE button on the appropriate line in the window list.

If you start TrayIt! manually and would like to suppress the startup dialog box, just create a shortcut and specify /H in the start-up command.
